
Hey! Hola! How ya doin?
I’m JJ, short for Joyce Jean. I am a chef, wellness coach, and restaurant owner. I absolutely adore cooking up fresh, nourishing recipes and sharing them with the people I love. I’m on a journey to be my best self, live life on my own terms and to help others while doing it. My husband and I moved to Nicargua from our winter wonderland in Colorado when we decided we were sick of shoveling snow and were ready for an exciting change. Now we run a juice and smoothie bar with healthy breakfast and lunch. It doubles as a fun special event spot with small plates and fresh cocktails once in awhile. When I’m away from my desk you can find me walking or cuddling my two deaf dogs (they’re 1 and 4 and the cutest dogs ever, you’ll be seeing them around), practicing yoga under a palapa, or maayyyybe trying to surf in the little baby waves. I also still enjoying cooking at home, reading, riding my bike around the neighborhood, and nurturing a small garden. I’m a huge supporter of a healthy wholistic lifestyle and want to guide people on their journey to their ideal life, however that works for them. In this space you’ll find a little bit of everything that I’m in love with but mostly cooking and recipes, healthy ingredient highlights, helpful hints on balancing life and staying well, essays about health, happiness, life. Oh, and my dogs, definitely my dogs.
